Guide · Tron → BNB Smart Chain
English onlyMove USDT from Tron (TRC20) to BSC (BEP20)
Same token, different network. This is a bridge, not a swap: USDT leaves Tron and arrives on BNB Smart Chain at the address you choose. You sign both sides from wallets you control.
What this route actually does
USDT exists on Tron as a TRC20 token and on BNB Smart Chain as a BEP20 token. They are meant to be worth the same, but they live on separate blockchains and cannot be sent directly from one network to the other. A bridge moves the value: it takes USDT on Tron, releases or mints the matching amount on BSC, and returns a transaction you can verify on both explorers.
Splot does not custody the funds. It requests a route from LI.FI, which uses LayerSwap on this corridor, shows you the quote, and then hands the transaction to your wallet to sign. If the bridge is slow, the funds are held by the bridge protocol, not by Splot.
Step by step
- Open the app with the Tron → BSC pair already selected (the button below does that).
- Connect TronLink. Splot never asks for a seed phrase, and the token stays in your wallet until you sign.
- Paste the BSC address that should receive the USDT. It must be an EVM address (0x…), not a Tron address.
- Enter the amount and wait for the quote. Check the amount out, the minimum after slippage, and the fee lines.
- Approve the bridge contract to spend only the amount you are swapping, then confirm the bridge transaction in TronLink.
- Keep the transaction hash. The app tracks it, and you can paste it into Track your bridge at any time.
What it costs
Splot charges 0.15% when the route supports the fee. On Tron → BSC the quote also lists the LI.FI fee and the LayerSwap fee, plus roughly 1 TRX for energy and bandwidth on the Tron side. The exact amounts, in token and in USD or naira, appear before you sign — if a fee is not in the quote, you do not pay it.
Fees on a bridge can change with the route and with network conditions. That is why Splot shows the quote instead of publishing a fixed percentage for LI.FI or LayerSwap.
Which wallets you need
You need two things: TronLink to sign on Tron, and an address on BNB Smart Chain to receive. The receiving address can come from MetaMask, Trust Wallet or any WalletConnect wallet. You do not need an account at Splot, and there is no deposit: the USDT goes from your Tron wallet to your BSC wallet.
How long it takes
Most bridges finish in seconds to a few minutes. Some routes wait longer for the destination transaction to be confirmed. A pending status is not a lost transfer: check the source transaction in Tronscan and the destination address in BscScan. Track your bridge keeps the hash and shows the latest status it can read from LI.FI.
Check before you sign
- The destination address is on BSC and you control it — a wrong network or a typo sends the funds somewhere you cannot recover them.
- The minimum after slippage is acceptable for the amount you are moving.
- The token you are buying is the one you expect. Tokens pasted by contract address may be impossible to sell later.
- The fees add up to what you saw in the quote. Splot does not give investment advice; you can lose funds.
